Directed by Coach Rogers & Staff
Dates: June 17-20
Time: 8:00am - 2:00pm
Location: Arundel HS Gymnasium
Ages: 5th graders - Incoming 9th graders
Description: The camp will focus on basic basketball fundamentals. It will concentrate on shooting technique, ball handling, and other basic skills that need to be mastered to become a good player. Because repetition is key in acquiring skills, campers will participate in daily drills that will test their skills against others, the clock, and their own previous performance. There will also be a focus on individual moves by position and game play. The campers will have a chance to show what they have learned through daily tournaments, with modified rules to reinforce specific skills they learned that day.
Camp Staff: Lee Rogers - Coach Rogers has amassed a 500+--185 record in his 28 years of coaching at Arundel, including 4 state titles, 11 regional titles, and 14 county championships. As an expert shooting coach, he has also received numerous local, regional, and state awards.
Donna McGowan - Long time assistant coach at Arundel, Coach McGowan also played college basketball at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore.
There will have several top college and high school players (past and present Arundel players) on staff showing the moves that made them great! Each age group will have individual counselors to meet their specific personal needs.
